Twitter is a social networking site used daily by billions of people worldwide. It is in the top ten most viewed websites on a daily basis. Film companies use social networking sites to advertise their films to create more awareness and interest. It is a quick and simple method of spreading information about your upcoming film to over a 100 million people of different ages, gender, culture and beliefs. Les Meserables, a recent Film phenomenon have their own twitter page which they used massively to advertise the film and it paid off, as it ended up having massive sales and was a complete success.
